무료, 오픈소스 소프트웨어 프로그램들을 찾을 때 도움이 되는 사이트 중 하난데 추천 프로그램들을 많게는 20개 정도를 리스트로 정리해놓은 사이트다.
간단한 설명에 특징과 장단점을 잘 요약해놓은 것 같고 무엇보다 링크깨진 오래된 프로그램부터 최신까지 잘 정리해놓은 것 같다.
무료프로그램들이라 그런지 대부분 오래된 프로그램들이 많은게 단점이다.
해당 프로그램의 카테고리나 유사한 프로그램들에서 나올 수 있는 거의 모든 기능들과 특징들을 잘 분류하고 선택해서 망라해놓은듯하다.
아쉬운 점은 검색이 힘들고 연관링크도 잘 안되있어서 사이트 내에서도 구글 등을 활용해서 검색해봐야된다는 점이다.
PortableFreeWare라는 사이트와 alternativeto 라는 사이트도 있다.
포터블프리웨어는 무설치로 사용할 수 있는 프로그램들을 찾아볼 수 있다.
alternativeto는 비슷한 대체 프로그램들을 추천해주는 사이트다.
